This my design for Thornden Community Theatre at Thornden Secondary School in Chandlers Ford, a lottery bid for £1.5 million. It has a very organic and dynamic form which counterpoints the long, linear wall of SCOLA buildings, off which it is set. It is derived from the idea of a ball bouncing against a wall, like the game often played in playgrounds. The resulting scheme was exhibited in the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition 1997.
