As a newly qualified architect working for Architekturburo-Eble, I was given the design of a new community centre and Priest’s house adjacent to the Catholic Church in the village of Unterjettingen, Baden-Wuttenberg. It is a sustainable design built using ecological and ‘baubiologische’ principles. The form and materials mirror those of the existing Church with shallow pitched roofs and oversailing eaves. The buildings were arranged to create a courtyard around the Church with garden and play area behind, all of which were landscaped.
